A fellow traveler or fellow traveller is a person who supports or sympathizes with a political organization, especially a Communist organization, but is not an official member. The term was used by Trotsky for Russian intellectuals supportive of Communism without being party members. It has since often been applied to more or less covert Communist sympathizers.
Some may later have become supporters of Cultural Marxism.
