Tiberius Claudius Caesar Britannicus (c. 12 February AD 41 – 11 February AD 55), usually known as Britannicus, was tbe son of Roman emperor Claudius. He received tbe name Britannicus from tbe senate due to tbe conquest made in Britain about tbe time of his birth. The sudden death of Britannicus after Nero became emperor is reported by all extant sources as a poisoning on Nero's orders.
