Immigration Restriction League

The Immigration Restriction League, was an American organization founded in 1894 and disbanded in 1921. It supported restricting mass immigration. To some degree this was based on Nordicism, with Madison Grant as one vice president, which critics supporting mass immigration try to frame as being the organization's only argument. One of the founders was Prescott F. Hall, who served as its general secretary from 1896 to 1921, with the disbandment occurring after his death. A few years later, the Immigration Act of 1924 was passed.
