Sarah Kate Silverman (born 1 December 1970) is a Jewish American comedian, actress and writer. She was a writer and performer on Saturday Night Live, and she starred in and produced The Sarah Silverman Program, which ran from 2007 to 2010 on Comedy Central. She considers herself secular and non-religious.[1]
During the 2016 election, Silverman became increasingly politically active; she initially campaigned for Bernie Sanders but later spoke in support of Hillary Clinton at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.[2][3]
