- Not to be confused with R. Hoffman Stahrenberg
Peter Hans von Stahrenberg[1] was a defendant in the Great Sedition Trial of 1944 and a leader of the American National-Socialist Party based in New York City. The American National-Socialist Party was Americaโs first National Socialist political party. Stahrenberg was the publisher of the party's newspaper the National American.[2] He issued his pamphlets under the Fascist Press Association imprint.[3]
Stahrenberg was a self-declared National Socialist and once said, "My religion is National Socialism. Thatโs the only religion I believe in. Christianity is the bunk."[4]
Stahrenberg was employed as a mechanic[5] and worked for the New York City Park Department.[6]
