The Office of Special Investigations (OSI) is a unit of the United States Department of Justice. Its purpose is to detect and investigate individuals who took part in state sponsored acts committed in violation of public international law, such as crimes against humanity. In 2010, the Office was merged with the Domestic Security Section to form a new unit: the Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section.

It has been described as formed in part due to Jewish influence and at least initially in large part being involved in hunting alleged Holocaust perpetrators. There are numerous criticisms, such as regarding John Demjanjuk and Arthur Rudolph.
