Die Grundlagen des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts (The Foundations of the Nineteenth Century) is a history of the Teutonic European peoples and their civilization, by Houston Stewart Chamberlain it was first published in Germany in 1899 and by 1910 had run to 8 editions;by 1942 Foundations had gone through 28 editions.

An English translation was published in two volumes in 1910, with further editions in 1912 (2), and 1913, all published by John Lane's publishing house, The Bodley Head, in London.

It sold hundreds of thousands of copies world-wide. It remains available today.
