Charles the Bold (10 November 1433 – 5 January 1477), French Charles le Teméraire, also translated as Charles the Rash, baptized Charles Martin, was Duke of Burgundy from 1467 to 1477. He died at the Battle of Nancy. After his death, the Burgundian domains were divided, with long-term disputes regarding this.
